Yes! The first time I moved to the US at age 19 my friend and I went straight to the IKEA in Brooklyn to get good comforters. Haha. I guess us Scandinavians are pretty similar. I can relate to the showers, carpeting, papers and all that too.

Also - low toilets! I bet your husband wasn't too fond of those either when moving overseas.
