My husband and I moved from Norway to the U.S. and here is what we learned

Many wonderful years ago, my husband and I blissfully started flirting with the idea of moving back to the place where it all began, New York City.

My husband is from the U.S. I am from Norway. When we got married, we decided to settle in Norway. Fast forward 7 years and two kids later we both admitted we had started thinking about the possibility of moving back to the U.S. We both missed the city life and didn’t feel we were quite done with America.

And so we moved. We quit our jobs, sold our apartment and basically everything we owned except a few suitcases with the basics + Norwegian wool. We decided on Jersey City: Family friendly, close to the city, more reasonable, and so and so on.
