Norse Airways has great tickets from JFK to OSL - it's easy to travel around in Norway and easy to get to Sweden from there as well. Rent a car or do public transportation, I bet you'd love the nature and especially if you're not that into big cities, I think Scandinavia would fit you well :) It's charming and unique. (not biased at all here haha)
