I've noticed with my stories that the ones with the highest ratio and reads earns the most. The ones I've posted in FB groups has a much lower ratio - they're not being read from start to finish, instead I get 50 claps and some highlights. This is only my experience though, but with the algorithm being the way it is now read time seems to matter to your earnings.
